I've never forgotten to eat...

I always question those that comment "Oh! I forgot to have lunch today" Who are you people?! I'm not even finished with breakfast yet and I'm already thinking towards my next feeding-what will I have for lunch. I carry apples in my bag, dried fruit in the car and always have a little something stashed away because you just never know. I will not be one of those people who crashes their SUV into a ravine somewhere and has to search for berries to ration for weeks. Oh no, not this girl. I forgot to have lunch? How does that even happen? Doesn't your tumbly get rumbly?

My favorite puppy from 101 Dalmations was Rolly "I'm hungry mother, I really am". (watch the movie) I tell my mom that to this day and she replies "well Rolly see what you can find". Pooh Bear won me over with his "just a little morsel" that silly old bear knows what's up. I may or may not say that too after just finishing lunch finding myself looking for "just a little morsel"

I'm not afraid to admit that when I travel whether by ground or air I search for my favorite restaurants along the way-the places I "allow" myself to have when traveling because I'm "on vacation". I can tell you the exit number for nearly every Dunkin Donuts, Chick-fil-a, and Waffle House between Springfield, IL and Cleveland, Ohio and all the way south to Atlanta (there are many!) I check airports for the same-which concourse is lucky enough to house the Earl of Sandwich at Logan Airport (E) and thankfully the Dunkin Donuts is conveniently located near the American Airlines gates at O'Hare. Those baristas have saved an unsuspecting seat mate's life more than once. I won't be stuck on the runway in a holding pattern with nothing but 7 peanuts to eat for hours. It could happen! You just never know. I like to be prepared.

From time to time I may be too busy to eat when I want to, but forget, never. Is it a comfort, an activity or do I just love food? Hard to tell. Maybe all of the above.

  3. I've forgotten my phone number, my zip code, and my age, but I've never once forgotten to eat. It takes a special kind of stupid to forget to eat.

  4. I love this!!! I wish I could forget to eat! I would forget my child at school before I forget a meal! I think of all my meals weeks ahead of time, especially if I know I'm going to a restaurant! I religiously study menus days in advance of going to a new restaurant to see what I might want to have! And I have to consult it daily to make sure I've made the right choice! lol I also wish I could be that person who "Is too sick to eat" It's never happened to me before, I guess I should consider myself lucky. I've eaten my way through the stomach flu, sinus infections and strep throat (not an easy task)!

    Love the blog ladies:)
