Worlds colliding
I'm starting my first blog with one of the greatest food moments of my life. 2 symbols of my youth meet 2 new found friends. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches & Donnie Wahlberg meet Laura & Sarah. The attached picture is from the NKOTB 2011 cruise. It was Friday night and the start of the festivities was watching the season finale of Blue Bloods with one of the stars of the show, Donnie Wahlberg.
Laura, Sarah and I had met months earlier and we discovered our love and passion for old school PB&J. Combine that with our love for Donnie Wahlberg (my first love) and we knew we were destined to be friends.
The PB&J was toasted with smooth peanut butter and grape jelly. We had BB on the big screen straight ahead and Donnie just over our left shoulders. The combination of childhood tastes, Donnie and these glorious foodies by my side was almost too much too handle. Through happy tears and laughs we consumed those sammys and took in the show. What a night!
